PLAY-lets :::

Net Art 1999

PLAY-lets

PLAY-lets is a legacy net art project which deals with childhood and the nature of memory mediated through the theories of August Klein and the art of Arthur X. Doyle.

Play-lets was my first work created for the web and consisted of a website and a series of web interventions.

The active phase of the project involved the creation of a network of sites around the two main fictional characters which documented their back story and a number of performative interventions with collaborators in internet message boards. These are no longer available and the current version is the core website only in its original 1999 glory.
