The Manchester Freedom Trail
was an audio walk in Manchester along the route of the Boston Freedom
Trail a celebrated walking tour of Boston which celebrates the American
War of Independence remapped to Manchester.
Each walker was provided with a map of their route and a personal MP3 player containing the original Boston Freedom Trail audio guide.
The walk was created for Manchester Psychogeographers the Loiterers Resistance Movement and the Territories Reimagined: International Perspectives (T.R.I.P.) psychogeography conference at the Manchester Metropolitain University. A version of this walk was previously done in Galway for the Tulca Festival in 2007.
